Designed by sculptor Dani Karavan and built in 1968 to commemorate members of the Palmach Negev Brigade who fell in the War of Independence. Built on a mountain top north of the city of Be’er-Sheva, from the height of the monument one has a panoramic view of the city of Be’er‑Sheva, the Hebron mountains and Mount Negev. The memorial is made up of18 concrete objects that symbolize and reflect the events of the War of Independence and of the Palmach.
