This is the main street that during the Ottoman period connected the city`s most important water source to the location of the central administration.
From then and to the present, the street has functioned as the city`s main street for commerce and was built to be the widest street in the Old City.
At the bottom of the street, one can find Food Avenue, while the upper part is commercial, and on Mondays and Fridays hosts an open-air street market with varied and colorful stalls.
