Israel’s desert zoo It is located in a natural environment at the western outskirts of the city of Be’er-Sheva, spanning50 dunam (~12.5 acres).
The zoo is home to some 150 different species of birds, mammals, reptiles and insects from Israel and around the world.
In addition to its being a major regional tourist attraction, the zoo is a cornerstone in science education for the children of the Negev.
