Walking Tour at the Old City

Be’er-Sheva is one of the oldest cities in the land of Israel, and its settlers first lived here about 6000 years ago.

The Old City was build with unique and historic buildings about 100 years ago’ by the Turks during the Ottoman period, to serve as the district’s main city.

Today the Old City offers a variety of tourist, cultural, arts and receational attractions.

You are invited to travel along the path of the city’s history.

Midsummer Night’s Dream – A Fantasy of Lights.


On hot summer nights one can ‘dress up’ one’s Be’er-Sheva tout by including in the experience an illuminating vision of Be’er-Sheva, the Opportunity Capital of Israel.

The hiking trail covers approx 40 km. (25 miles), circling the city of Be’er-Sheva.

It is divided into five sections, with each section marked in its own color, in accordance with the tour map and Israel’s official trail map markings.

The trail leads hikers to the sites and beautiful landscapes surrounding the city.

The trail was desinged by the scouting cluds of the Society for the Preservation of Nature in Israel history, flora and heritage of the city.

The venture “Urban Oasis” includes up to 30 elements of water, such as fountains, waterfalls and water pools combined with colorful lighting all around town. The fountains are spread all over Beer Sheva and bring colors and unique vision to the timeless city – the capital of opportunities of Israel.

At night, Beer Sheva becomes the city of lights, with many buildings decorated colorfully that join the beautiful fountains.
